How long is a class?
Our hand building pottery classes are 2 hrs
Beginner wheel throwing classes are 3 hrs
Glazing classes (to paint your beautiful work) are 1 .5hrs
How does the class work?
For our hand building class you will come into the studio for our 2 hr class where we will run through a couple of different hand building techniques. Then you have full creative freedom to make whatever you like with assistance from one of our helpful team. At the end of the class you pay for your firing based on the size and number of pieces you have created. In two weeks time you are welcome to book back in for one of our 1 hr glazing classes where you will paint your work and pay for another lot of firing. Then finally we will email you to let you know your work is ready for collection, this will roughly be 3 weeks or possibly a little longer and you are welcome to come by the studio to collect your work during our opening hours.
When can I come collect my work?
We are generally open
Saturday 8:30am-4:30pm and 5:30pm-8:30pm

Is firing included in all classes?
NO FIRING is NOT included in ANY CLASS– You will pay for it on the day based on the size and number of pieces you create, and we will do the firing process for you.
What is the firing process?
The firing process involves letting your work go ‘bone dry’ on the shelves and then it will be fired in the kiln for 12-24 hours - This takes roughly 2 weeks from the date you created your work. Please carefully read through our Firing & Breakage Policy.
How can I pay for my firing on the day?
We have both card and cash facilities available
What are the prices for firing?
Average firing cost is $12. Firing ranges from $1 to $15 per piece, depending how big your work is and how much room it takes up in the kiln.
